Set in the summer of 1980, Red Dress is the story of a young girl’s
determination to pursue her dreams. Desperate to dance and
escape the realities of home, Ellie changes her age to sixteen, dons a
pair of fishnets and heads off on tour with the last of the travelling
vaudeville shows.
Dancing alongside girls twice her age, Ellie is swept up in a world
of knife throwers, magicians, ventriloquists, singers and comics.
