Stuart Scowcroft MBA, J.P.(Executive Producer/Producer)
Stuart is a former General Manager of the public Australian film and television production and distribution company, Becker Group Limited, and was, for seven years, Head of Features for the Australian Broadcasting Corporation. He has extensive experience in international relations, co-production and business and brings to clients a global network of contacts coupled with a long history of marketing and executive management.
He was General Manager of Dendy Films and Dendy Cinemas in the mid 1990s after the group was taken over by Becker Group Limited.
His production credits, until now, have been in television with some of the most prestigious productions in Australia including Journeys to the Ends of the Earth, one of the most expensive documentary series made in Australia, the long running Outback Adventures and Quantum, the top-rating drama-doc co production Indelible Evidence and many others.
He is a writer and director in his own right and is, therefore, able to connect on a grass roots level with directors, producers and other creative personnel. His recent films include Lost in Flanders and the short drama Lovestruck.
He established his own consultancy in 2002 to focus on film and television and now provides Waterloo’s clients with executive production, marketing, planning and creative services.
Rezso Bodonyi (Executive Producer/Producer)
Rezso begin his film career 24 years ago for the Hungarian film company MAFILM, after he graduated from the Hungarian Academy for Film and Theatrical Arts with a diploma in Film and Television Production Management. He has built an extensive knowledge of production through a broad range of experience working in the film industry. His teachers at the Hungarian Academy for Film and Theatrical Arts were personalities with the finest credentials - Istvan Szabo, the director of the academy award-winning “Mephisto” and George Illes whose visual style raised a whole generation of new talent of D.O.Ps around the world., Rezso has worked as a film producer since 1988. His extensive list of feature film credits includes working with internationally recognised prestigious directors from Hungary such as Zoltan Fabry, Peter Gothar, Andras Kovacs, Karoly Makk, and Istvan Szabo His career has seen him involved in production in a range of locations including Algeria, Bulgaria, The Czech Republic, Cuba, France, Germany, Poland, Soviet Union, USA and Vietnam. He has also developed international co productions with France and Germany. His liaising skills, vision and understanding earned him respect amongst his colleagues. As a producer Rezso has excellent organisational skills which he brings to Waterloo clients in the development of financing and production plans
Charles Vowell B Bus NSWIT, FCA, FAICD, J.P.
Charles began his career as a trainee accountant in 1973, completing his Business Degree in 1976 and qualified as a Chartered Accountant in 1978 commencing his own practice in 1980 He retired from professional practice in 2003. During his career Charles developed a strong understanding and expertise in finance structuring and business planning
Charles now combines his 30 years of finance experience with a strong screen industry knowledge in helping producers develop the optimum finance structure for their projects
By working closely with a diverse range of finance industry sources, Charles has developed close associations with European, Middle Eastern and North American financiers allowing access to the most appropriate providers for each project, thereby ensuring the finance package is individually tailored for the project needs through cashflowing Tax Credits, Presales and Gap
Appreciating the importance of the Sales Agent in any finance mix Charles, has developed a series of strong working relationship with a broad range of International Sales Agents and Distributors, allowing Waterloo to introduce the producers to the most appropriate agent for their project. Agents know Charles and the Waterloo Finance team and are keen to work with Charles to complete the financing structure
Charles and Waterloo Finance help producers appropriately manage the various risk elements of their projects and develop appropriate business plans that clearly articulate the risk management strategies and demonstrate how all risk elements have been managed.
Charles works with producers from the initial stages so that they maximise the financing opportunities available and develop the appropriate finance structure supported by a clearly defined business plan
